About Me
I am a wife, a mother, a writer, an editor, and an author. I have been married for over 31 years to a truly wonderful man. We have one daughter together, and I have a step-daughter.
I became a born again, Spirit-filled Christian at Grace Christian Center in Killeen, TX on Flag Day 1987. I got baptized in 2007, and my life changed drastically. As time went on, more and more I wanted to know God. My desire to know Him has not been quenched, only fueled, by all the things He has shown me and spoken to me. I serve an awesome God.
I created this Web site to promote my book, A Christmas I Remember and to reach out and share some of the wondrous things that our God has shared with me. You are welcome to visit my blog at my Thoughts and Prayers Page. My hope is that you can find a bit of peace and some solace there. I sincerely hope that you are filled with encouragement when you leave today! I ask Him to bless you and yours and protect you from the evil in the world. Come back soon. Have a glorious day!

About A Christmas I Remember
A Christmas I Remember was not the book I thought I would have published first, but it is the book God wanted published first. It is such a blessing to me. It all started when my friend Kindra sent me an email with the following:
“Are you writing any? I saw a little electric potbellied stove for $100 and thought how neat that would be to have in your office where you could have your own little heater and fire going while you sit and create God inspired readings... Will you do me a favor? Only if you have time as I know this is a busy time of the year. I am always awed by your beautiful way with words. Would you write me something about Christmas focusing on the magic of this joyous season? Maybe a memory of yours as a child, maybe something about the warmth and colors, just anything. I will frame it and cherish it for years to come!”
“God inspired readings”, wow, isn’t that the truth! Mind you, this was on November 30, 2010, and Christmas was only 26 days away. I really couldn’t say no, after all, she sincerely liked the things I wrote, and Christmas is her favorite time of year.
So I sat down in my most comfortable chair and got out my journal and tried to write. How hard could it be, right? And did I mention that Christmas was only 26 days away? I couldn’t think of a thing for weeks, but not for lack of trying. Finally, on December 15th, God answered my prayers and brought some remembrances back to me from my childhood and early marriage. The next morning I started writing, and the following morning I finished what turned out to be this book.
On December 21st, I read my poem for Kindra to my friend Vel at work. She said it was a book. I said “no, it’s a poem for Kindra.” After three times of us repeating ourselves, she said, “No, it’s a book for children, a Christmas book!” That’s when revelation finally set in. I was blessed to read the story to Kindra and her husband and two young sons at their home on Christmas Eve after the candlelight service at church.
I looked into Christian publishers and decided I’d send my poem to Tate Publishing in Mustang, Oklahoma. I sent it in and on December 27th they accepted it! All within 30 days. God is truly awesome!
So that is where the book came from--God and His grace, answering my constant question, “Lord, what will You have me do?” He will have me write, and I gladly do that for Him. I hope you enjoy the book, and that the nostalgia of it brings back some Christmas memories for you too! Go with His grace!

How I love you! My heart sings and my spirit soars when I think of how great and awesome our God is! He made you! His Son Jesus lives inside me. He is there with you! He speaks truth and love to you. Can you hear Him? Those are the first sounds you hear, the voice of the Creator of the Universe and the joyful singing of the heavenly choir that welcome your existence! And you hear my heart beat in blessed anticipation of your birth just a few months from now! I love you! I love the Lord!
Dear Father God,
Please bless my baby today. Bless my baby with exceptional hearing, so that Your Word is the first voice that speaks to her heart. Bless my baby with discernment that she knows who’s voice is calling her, whether it be You or someone else. Let her always follow Your voice. Let Your voice, the voice of kindness and love come forth from my baby’s mouth in situations that would make another person less compassionate. Protect my baby’s ears from the sounds of hate, lies, and all things evil. Let my baby be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Thank you, Father for the ability to hear both physically and spiritually that You have given my baby. In Jesus’ holy name I pray, Amen
“And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Mark 4:9
